Brian, you posted "Anyone who tries to act like Phil Anselmo on stage is Nu-metal." uh, maybe I missed the newsletter, but Pantera is about as Nu-metal as My Dying Bride is Regae. Unless this was an inside joke I missed.

And since 7 months of nothing is getting there underwear in a wad, I'm kinda wondering something too. Everyone's ragging on what's nu metal and what isn't lately, and I'm just wondering, do any of you think Shatterbone is Nu-metal? I mean, we have more active drums and guitars, but I still play a 7 string, we do have some pretty tight rythmns, so do you think we are Nu-metal?

the style that pantera plays had a huge hand in influencing the nu-metal thang (by the way i heard cemetary gates on 93x last night fuck i still love that song!!!) but they weren't nu-metal.

as for your question about Shatterbone, there are definately things you guys do that have a bit of nu-metal flavour to them, but it's not a bad thing. I wouldn't call your band nu-metal by any real stretch.

Is it just me or doesn't $25 bucks seem like a huge ripoff for that site? I understand the costs involved in running and maintaing such a glorified message board, but $25 is still insane. If it was $5 i bet 3-4 times as many people would sign up, hell I just might sign up.

I guess you go have to give them kudos on being able to find a bunch of people who are both stupid enough to pay them $25 and still actually able to operate a computer.
