The last band I saw that really blew me away would prolly have to be Skullview. Their aggro power metal was really eye opening and I had a blast. Yeah, they were flat out velveeta at times with the props, but the overall sound was just crushing and kinda left me shocked. I didn't think they were that good originally and before I knew it was rocking out.

You?

(waits for the first SYL answer)

skullview kinda bored me. sure it was neat seeing a power metal band in the cities. but i thought, nah!

can't think of any recent ones. but i was a kinda LACUNA COIL fan before. but when i saw them at the lab in 2001 i became a huge fan. their records just don't do them justice. (kinda like cold colours!)

Einsturzende Neubauten at 1st Ave a few years ago on the Perpetuum Mobile tour. Easily one of the best musical performances i've ever witnessed.

Bauhaus a few months back was pretty damn cool too. I don't really get into their music much, but boy can they play.

I've gotta agree w/Brian I was kinda Lacuna Coil fan till that show at the Lab. They were probably the last band to REALLY impress me live. Then again lately if a band can hold my attention for more that 10 mins I consider it to be a good show.

Now that I think about Amorphis held my attention for the entire show.

The last band that really rocked my world was the Original Thought Industry line-up at the Mirage. It was on the Mods carve the pig... tour.

well dave, you never go to shows anymore. are you actually going to go see PRIMORDIAL?

That is my weekend I work fri-sun 6am-6pm, and I've heard that they might(and this is just a might)not play.
BUT, it would be cool to see them, though it's kind of spendy.

The Anthrax Reunion tour was phenomonal. I was enthralled the entire show. I didn't walk away once thru the entire set, I just stood there (or sat there, being I was still on restriction from my surgery) and watched diligently. It was a life fullfilling moment.

Impaler, Cold Colours, and Obsidian Empire in Omaha this past monday biggrin.gif

Before then... The 69 Eyes were outstanding when I saw them on March 16 in Kansas City.... and Hypocrisy on Jan 27 in Lawrence, Kansas.

For me, it had to be Shatterbone back in march!! P-NUT IS BACK!! WHOOT WHOOT!! Had to see him back in it! Wouldn't have been the same without him! Can't wait for them to put another show in again!!
