So I googled the venue in KC we're playing at - Davey's Uptown. The first line of the bio cracked me up:

"Serving alcohol since 1925 ...Legally since 1934!"

Whoa! Ossim!

But this raised my right eyebrow, and that eyebrow alone:

"Voted by the Pitch Weekly as the Best Place To Hear Country Music"

Uh....

But then reading some more, I got a kick out of this:

"Davey's has hosted such legendary alt-country acts as the Derailers, Rex Hobart and the Misery Boys, Kristi Stremel, Slobberbone and Bruce Robison."

Slobberbone? I gotta see this act!

slobberbone broke up. saw them twice at the 400 bar and once at first ave. they were great. i burn ya a cd if ya want. the song "gimme back my dog" is amazing.

I gotta chuckle over Slobberbone........does Unit know about this? lol

BTW.. here's the flyer I made for the show.. give me your honest opinions on how it looks. If it looks good to everyone, I will be placing an ad in the local "alternative" newspaper called The Pitch (if not too expensive), for the whole month of March, or at least for the last 2 weeks of March.

it looks good dood. you prolly should take the BLACK metal thing out though. fans of dark funeral will be very disappointed when they hear us!
