just wanted to say hi to you all..... this is rob, by the way, former bassist of shatterbone. Everything has went as well as possible over here, and i am approaching the time to return to the US soon, possibly the beginning of april. I hear Lance Vein is playing for you now... I can't wait to catch a live show this summer! You all take care, and keep it metal! thanks, rob.

Why yes, that is definately my plan... I've almost been blown up 5 times, almost been shot 7 times, so I think I've endured my share of near misses, and it's time for the next guy to come along and take over!!! Other than that, it's really not too bad here, it's been raining for the past week, so Baghdad is a giant mudhole. Us "recovery" people have been busy pulling out stuck vehicles with the truck and tank wreckers we have. The rainy season is only about a month long, then it drys up and gets really hot again. We should be on our way back home before it starts getting stupidly hot, though. Which is good, too!

Best of luck!

Thank you, Lance, it's appreciated!
I just wanted to touch on my plans musically when I return, my roomate over here, Sean M. Huguenin, is set to record his second solo CD when we get home, which I'll be laying some bass tracks down for. Please visit his website, www.allgonewild.com. Thanks.
I will be recording my first solo cd, in conjuction with Sean on vocals, set to be entitled, "Haspels/Huguenin". I am looking for musicians who would like to guest appear on this, in the area of keyboards, drums, bass, and additional backing vocals. The musical style will be somewhat like if you mixed togather Queensryche, Iced Earth, and Iron Maiden, with some other subtle influences of different "heros" of mine. If anyone is interested, let me know: you will be reimbursed all of your out of pocket costs, and paid a set fee for your contributions.
This will be a serious, sober effort for me, since I no longer party or abuse alchohol. The lyrics will be about some of the experiences we have had over here in Iraq. There will be no profanity on this cd, so it's something your folks can listen to!
Thank you all for reading this, and I hope to see you in a few months upon my return!!!
