So i gave Gwen shit a while back for entering into a power metal phase. I retract that statement. Big time.

Went to hang out with Dave Hart and his wife Lindsay last weekend and all we could talk about was 80s metal, and power metal in general. (surprise) Got on the subject of Manowar and Hammerfall. Crap. So i got home, dusted off my "Glory to the Brave" cd and enjoyed it. Then, i found myself downloading some Angel Dust. Sheeesh! Great stuff!! To cap it off, here i am listening to Thunderstone. Wow, those guys rule.

Thankfully, i am staying away from the Manowar. I was THIS close to grabbing some after i heard Thunderstones cover of "Heart of Steel", but i bailed on that one...

Again, Gwen, i'll never razz you about any phase...or anyone else, for that matter. (ok, i probably will, but not for another week)

On a related note...Briana got a laptop the other day. Did you know that you can burn over 60 albums onto 1 DVDR? Holy pigshit!

I'm really digging on the Angel Dust album "Bleed". Beautiful.

Yes, it doesn't have to be warriors fighting dragons for glory, etc etc. all the time, Because dark and angry can make great prog-power music. Addicted to serenity is one of my favourite tracks on there, Black Rain kind of sounds like nevermore

Black Rain and Bleed rule, as does Memories. In fact, Memories is the song i have listened to the most out of ANYTHING the last few weeks.

Also, i'm digging heavily on the new Kamelot. Fuck, that album rules. I had never paid much attention to them before, but wow. The music is phenomenal, especially the synths/orchestration. The vox are hit or miss with me, but that is ok...the rest is stellar! :-)
