I just got the new Celtic Frost cd and the artwork is the best thing I've seen in a long time(the digipack version).

I have yet to listen to it, but I can only hope the music lives up to the art!

What are some cds that people think have amazing art?

Haha Brian! laugh.gif

Some of my favorite art is in the Sentenced Crimson digipak. That cover painting of the dinosaur fossils fucking rools ass. I'm contemplating being a ridiculous fanboy and getting that bit tattooed.

Then again, I plan on tatting just about anything at one point or another, yet I only have 3 tats thus far! rolleyes.gif

Other notables:

--The 3 disc version of Iced Earf's Alive In Athens. I LOVE the fact all the digipaks and discs have different art.

--Cradle Of Filth's Vempire cd. I like that I can have a work-safe album cover void of tit-TAYS if I so choose. Yeah, it may be a bloody wedding dress, but hey.

--Iron Maiden's Somewhere In Time reissue. I like the futuristic Ed.

--Slayer's Hell Awaits. Kinda un-slick, but it still evokes everything you need to know about this record just by looking at it. It's crude, but not cheesy like the Show No Mercy, Reign In Blood, South Of Heaven, and Seasons In The Abyss covers.
